Yarmouth Curling Club
League Format for 2007/2008 Season.

THIS FORMAT WILL BE USED FOR ALL LEAGUE PLAY.

a) Teams will start the regular season playing a round robin format. Depending on the number of teams and weeks available, the round robin may be unbalanced.

b) After completion of the regular season, teams will be divided into two divisions for the play-off round: Top half will become “A” division and Bottom half will become “B” division. The “A” division will have an even number of teams, and the “B” division will have an even number of teams when possible.

Teams will receive 2 points for a win and 1 point for a tie.

c) Games will not be decided by an extra end or skip rocks. If games are tied after regulation, the game will be recorded as a “Tie”, except in the playoffs where an extra end will be played.

d)If a team can not start at the designated time (unless previous arrangements have been made), they will:
1). Lose 1 point for 1st end and last rock for next end.
2). Forfeit game 15 minutes after the scheduled start time
.

e)Teams who do not show up for a scheduled game and do not contact the opposing team to notify them of the cancellation will forfeit the scheduled game.

f)Leagues will have draws starting at 6:30 and 8:30, except Sundays where start times will be 4:00 and 6:00.

***Please note: Empty slots in the early draw are being filled with stick curling and other activities.***

***Late draw teams are encouraged to arrive early as they can start early if ice becomes available***
